Genital warts in the mouth

People who have or at the risk of getting Genital warts are bothered by a number of questions. Some ask, can genital warts be transmitted to the mouth or can genital warts spread to mouth?.  Though Genital warts commonly develop in and around, vagina, penis, on the scrotum and other anal regions of the body, it is known to also develop in the mouth or lips of the affected person. Genital warts in the mouth are transmitted during oral sex.

Generally HPV strive and attack the mucus membranes most specifically those covering the linings of the vagina or most soft parts of the anal region. Because it is able to survive in this region, the mouth or lips are also a promising area for the survival of the virus.
